Can everyone be a leader? Indeed, every person is called to lead oneself. Yet we’ve seen or experienced leaders whose general ineffectiveness in leading others often may be rooted in their inability to lead themselves.
There’s growing evidence of the appreciation of the primordial truth that authentic leadership is drawn from a principled life. Leadership development stems from willingness, an inside-out lifelong project entailing virtue development, and a personal maturation process. Growing in the knowledge and practice of what is true and good, as a person and relating with others animates all other aspects of one’s life, such as family and work.
